Roseville Special Education Attorney
Martha Millar

Martha Millar’s experiences as a teacher compelled her to open the Law Offices of Martha Millar. In the 1980s, Ms. Millar taught preschool children with speech and language impairments, Down syndrome, and autism.
After earning her regular education teaching credential in the 1990s, Ms. Millar taught first, fourth, and fifth grade students in the Oakland Unified School District. Many of her students were immigrants who were learning English for the first time. Others were homeless. Most recently, Ms Millar taught middle school children with specific learning disabilities, behavioral disorders, and other disabilties.

Over the years, Ms Millar has written and implemented many IEPs, created and implemented lessons for students with special needs, and, as a case manager, led meetings of faculty, parents, evaluators, and support staff regarding placement and services for special needs children.

Following graduation from Golden Gate University School of Law, Ms. Millar began practicing special education law. She is admitted to practice law in the United States District Court, Eastern Division, and before the California Supreme Court.

Ms Millar believes that the educational rights of children with special needs must be protected. To achieve this, parents must have excellent legal advice. As a special education attorney, she is committed to providing such advice and to fighting to protect the rights of children with special needs.
